well im an out of state student who wants to do something in sports broadcasting or sports agency…i volunteer as a rec. coach in my comm. and take sports marketing classes in school…anyone know anything about the school the difficulty of getting in …ive looked at their site but im still looking for more advice

Your essays are KEY to getting in. Good ACTs are also crucial (I think the average when I applied was a 27, but a 30 or better will definitely help – if you can take it again if you don’t have a 30 or better, I would recommend it) but solid, creative, truthful essays will help. Tell them about your community work, put a good spin on it, don’t be like everyone else who just wants to come to U-M because of the reputation or the high academic standards – because they’ve told us that they weed those right out.
Also, APs are great. If you have time to take Advanced Placement, I would definitely try to get those in – they like to see that you’re already taking college classes.
