They will probably ask you how you would handle a discipline issue in the classroom.

On top of that they’ll ask about your discipline policy.

They may ask about a successful lesson plan in your student teaching experience.

Might ask, “Why should we hire you?”

Might ask if you will coach a sport or co-curricular activity.

Might ask about the book you student taught out of and if you liked it and why.

Might ask your thoughts on alternative education.

To answer these questions just be prepared and be HONEST!!!

Good luck!!

More to add…

Might ask about your homework philosophy.

Might ask if you know about No Child Left Behind and the ramifications of this statute. (Research this on the web.)

Might ask if you are more of a lecture style or facilitator type instructor.

Hiyas!

Well, I am an elementary teacher, and I can tell you the questions I was asked in the general area of teaching.

I got asked questions about why I went into teaching or education, what my classroom management plan would look like (how I would manage my class and what would I do with any issues that arose..send them to the office? Try to take care of it myself? How do I view discipline? *btw, a really good answer to this is that you will follow the school rules guidline and just modify it to fit you*

I was asked about testing and standands that must be taught to the students (they want to make sure you teach the standards so the kids pass the state requirement tests)

How do you feel about parents? Are they essential to your classroom environement? When is a good time to notify parents about a students grade, behavior, update, etc? Should parents only be called over bad news *duh, no*

You will want to take extra copies of your resume with you, one to hand to everyone at your interview and so before you go in to your interview you can review what you’ve done (you may get super nervous and forget an internship or practicum or something, just as a refresher)

Dress very professionally (no earrings, no tattoo’s showing if possible…you won’t wear that teaching, but 1st impression w/ a principal will make/break you)

I hope that helps.

they’d ask, ” what’s going to you anticipate of your fellow instructors and the front workplace”….. to which you will answer, ” i wish to have their help and comprehend and income from their know-how”. they’d ask, ” What are your perspectives on college room discipline” ( or some thing comparable) to which you may answer, ” i will set a stable occasion with the help of being respectful to my pupils yet, on an identical time, save on with all regulations for disciplinary techniques as defined in the school instruction manual. ” attempt for concise solutions, not long and drawn out. different questions they’d ask ( on the grounds which you’re new to the occupation)… ” how are you going to contain the parents in the newborn’s guidance?” ” What have been stressful situations did you stumble upon for the duration of pupil coaching.?” ” What concerns do you have approximately coaching?” ” what’s going to you carry to the school room to be certain success for all pupils ?” And, attempt to chill out. you would be purely nice !!!
