LSAT Powerscore, weekend class worth it?

I have one year left in my BA. I want to write the lsat asap, end of september for example. I was going to take the lsat prep course, but wasn’t able this summer due to working, I’m scoring not too badly. Has anyone taken this course? Is it worth it, or beneficial even? Thanks

The first writer is wrong, there is an LSAT in September on the 29th.

I took the PowerScore weekend course for the June LSAT, and I thought the class was more than worth the money. The teacher we had was entertaining but serious, and he definitely knew what he was talking about. The class moves quickly and covers a lot of topics, but they do revisit ideas and reinforce them throughout the class.

After the class there was homework to do that followed up on the ideas in the class–I did all of it. There’s also a help service, but I didn’t use it.

I was looking to bump up into the low 160’s and I feel like the class was a big part of the reason I ended up scoring a 167.

One note: bring some coffee for the afternoons. 8 hours in a day is lengthy, and you will want a pick me up around 3 or 4 in the afternoon.

Well first, there isn’t an lsat in September, the soonest is october. I’ve never taken the Powerscore course, I took testmasters. I’ve heard they’re very similar though. And if that’s the case, then it’s very worth it to take the course. Make sure you’re completely ready to take the test before you take it, because it’s the most important test of your life. good luck!

Powescore is definitely one of the bets self-study aids. Consider taking an online course instead. I’ve written different articles on how to prepare for the LSAT and apply to law school at my web site–see the link below.
