Lets assume that you wouldn’t get caught…?

that you’d be guaranteed an excellent grade (better than what you’d be able to achieve by yourself), and that money wasn’t an option–would you pay someone to write a paper for you? Lets further assume that you had no interest in the topic and it was going to be, without a doubt, a very time consuming project. Would you (or have you)?

If I was guaranteed a good grade, then why not try to actually do it? There’s no chance of failure. And if it’s something for a class, then I’ve already set aside time for homework so there’s no big loss there either. Sure it’d be nice to be able to just chill, but there’s a distinct lack of curiosity in this country nowadays about learning new things even if they don’t seem interesting.

No…have not, would not. Have been offered money to do it for others and declined.

Even though you’re not interested in the subject, you never know what you might learn that could apply elsewhere or later. For example, I never understood why I would have to bisect a line…but when I took an astronomy class, you have to bisect lines to determine planetary orbits.

If you’re bored and don’t want to write the paper, imagine how the teacher feels having to read 20 or 30 boring papers by bored students. Spice it up a little, make it fun. Turn it into a creative writing assignment, rather than a boring paper.

But don’t cheat.

No, I wouldn’t. Using someone else even if you paid for it is really not fair to yourself. The points would belong to the person who wrote your paper, not you. Using people only shows what you are, a cheater.

No. The teacher will probably know you didnt do it, and you will miss out on info you wouldnt usually look for.

yes of course. especially if the topic is not of interest to you. its only human nature to “not want to do something boring.” if you have the means to afford it and you are guaranteed an excellent grade than of course i would do it. its only common sense.

heck yes. maybe i’m just lazy, but if i had a boring time consuming project that i could have someone do for me. i would.
