let or lets?

Textpad allows you to find text quickly.

Textpad let/lets you to find text quickly.

Do you see the problem?

To me, the first sentence is fine.

For the second sentence, should I use let or lets?

Textpad lets you find text quickly

(remove ‘to’ in this case)

I don’t see the problem. The second sentence shouldn’t use either one as it is.

It should be “Textpad lets you find text quickly” (take out “to”) or “Textpad leads you to find text quickly” perhaps?

“Lets” means “allows.” “Let’s” is a contraction for “let us;” They’re both valid English words. Thus, your sentence should be “Textpad lets you find text quickly.”

To use the other form, you would want a sentence such as “Let’s go shopping!”

lets..because textpad is singular…

It is “lets,” for the exact same reason it is “allows.” It is singular.
