Is there a SLANG word or phrase that you cannot stand?

I don’t like it when people use the words ‘retarded’ and ‘gay’ to mean a bad or lame thing.

Mine aren’t *exactly* slang.

I dislike the use of the term “no-brainer” which tends to insult anyone who, for whatever reason, truly doesn’t understand.

And, I dislike the word “countless” being used instead of “many” or even “a great many” or “several” or “a few”. Countless means “too numerous to count” — like the stars. It doesn’t refer to someone’s telephone calls, parking tickets, books read, etc.

And the grossly overused “like”. “I was, like, what’s happening?” “Are you, like, serious?”

And one which you might not have heard, unless you watch/listen to the 24-hour news channels — people being interviewed whose very first words in response to their very first question are “Well, I mean…” or “I mean…” I can’t figure out why so many do it, unless they’ve been taught to do so in public speaking classes or something.

There are others, but these are my pet peeves just now.

I don’t like any remarks that makes a person sound as a raist.I don’t like the n word or any of their slang.And it goes the same way with other nationalities.I don’t like the term wet back or spick.

I hate to hear the phrase “carpet munchers” when people refer to lesbians. I think it sounds soooo gross!

I hate hearing “you guys’s” JUST SAY YOUR!!! GRAHH!!! And some people say things like “are you guys’s doing something” and it drives me insane because, even if you could pluralize “you guys” , YOU WOULDN’T NEED TO IN THAT SCENARIO!!!! GAAAH!

I’m Krispy…reminds me of kentucky fried chicken. And saying “you know what I’m saying” when you arent saying anything but that!

I cringe whenever I hear someone say, “I says”. Who said that the past tense of “say” is “says”?!

It’s so freakin’ stupid!! It sounds retarded and i just want to slap the heck out of them.

i hate when people call each other “mami” and “papi” its so annoying. i feel that its disrecpectful when people use it to pick up other people.
