Is the AP Spanish Language exam difficult???
I’m not Spanish in any way, but I’ve only learned the basics in regular Spanish classes. . .my friend told me it was easy. . .so do you think I stand a chance if I know the basics?? What exactly is on that exam??

I took the AP Spanish Langauage exam and unless you got straight As in honors Spanish throughout highschool, DON’T TAKE IT! The exam heavily stresses grammar. I dunno what you mean by “basics” though. You need to know ALL grammar forms. When I say all, I mean all the little nuances that go with each form. You should have an expansive vocabulary as well. Also, be a proficient speaker and be able to listen to conversational Spanish and understand what is being said. They dont stress reading as much (as that is AP Spanish Lit) but there is a writing portion on the exam.
Maybe it’s just the language program at my old highschool wasn’t that great. The language exams are considered the most difficult of the APs.

Only if you are a native speaker and are very good at writing the language. Most of my friends thought that exam was a lot harder than the other AP exams, despite the fact that they had taken an AP Spanish class and four years of honors Spanish prior to taking the class. They were all complaining about how they thought they were going to fail.

It depends on your dedication and ability to speak fluently. What level are you? AP Spanish is level 5, so if you’re a REALLY good level 3, then you can skip. If you’re level 4, then you can also do it. If you’re level 5… obviously, you should be taking the AP exam. If you’re getting low B’s or below, then don’t waste $84. I believe that the AP Spanish exam is part oral (speaking and answering a recording tape) and part written. If you can’t handle that, then don’t bother.
Considering that the exam is an *AP* exam, then yes… it’s difficult. You should know whether you’re capable of passing with a 3+, and if you’re not certain, then ask your teacher for his/her honest opinion.

its no longer that difficult u simply must consider rapid in a few materials similar to u hav to write down a sixty five phrase “essay” in eight minutes and matters like that. one in every of my pal may be involved however most effective cuz shes is spanish four and taking the ap scan.
