Im going to Southern Illinois University this fall and i was wondering how is the University?

I know a lot of people who are going to school there…..they like it, I think it’s a good school. But there’s a lot of partying that goes on. A couple of people I know got so caught up in that sort of thing that they ended up dropping out. So just watch out for that.

I wish I had of known, I though I was applying there and ended up applying to SIUE. I currently attend Eastern Illinois University, near the U of I. I live about 45 minutes from where you will be going. Depending on where your from alot of people say the town bloomington-normal is boring. My friend went there (she’s a single parnet) and she loved the university and the area. I know and work witih a couple of people who live there and commute back and forth and they seem to like bloomington. I like shopping and eating there and I work there occasionally for a nursing agency so I only get the resturants and mall (chuck e cheese for the kiddies) They have alot of the stores and resturants on the main stip (Veternas Parkway). I heard SIU is a party school though, sorry I don’t have much detail about it
