If my child un-schools, how does she get a diploma?
Well, I’m thirteen and i am actually 13 years old and im going into 8th grade. I don’t want to go to school so im getting unschooled. The only thing is my mom doesnt know how i am going to get a diploma..

Why would you want to get unschooled? What will you do with the rest of your life with no high school education?

I was homeschooled. I took to GED (general equivalency diploma) to get into college. This is also how high school dropouts get into college. Though I was homeschool and not “unschooled,” I still ended up being quite disadvantaged in several subject areas.
Not wanting to go to school is a fact of life for many people. But being unschooled is technically illegal, and it isn’t fair to yourself. If you are only well rounded in subject areas that interest you, you will find it difficult to survive in an envionment that requires you to be well rounded in many subject areas. I highly suggest you rethink your schooling future.

why don’t you want to go to school. in school you have fun and friends and you learn. i dont think there is such a thing as “unschooled”, but let me help you out. there is a such thing called Home schooled. it when you learn at home and you can still get a diploma by a certified teacher. the diploma is just as good as a high school diploma or to speed things up you could just take some GED classes and get a GED. a GED is the equivalent of a high school diploma. go luck on your future endeavors and i know that you will get that diploma.
