I wonder since the 2 year ASN programs in California are so impacted, would it be smarter to try an get a BSN?

I’m thinking of starting the prerequsites for nursing at a community college, the 2 year nursing programs in California could take 2 years to get into. Would it be more beneficial to transfer to a University for the BSN?

Unfortunately, a lot of those programs here in California are also impacted. But if you do some digging and if you do really well in school, you may find a 4 year school that will be easier to get into.

It is a lot easier to get into a BSN program if you already have your RN. The state university near me accepts you right away if you apply because apparently it’s not impacted for those who have a RN license… Well, at least that’s how it was 2 years ago, I haven’t looked into it since.

My advice, get really good grades!!!! You’ll find it much easier to get in! I had semi-good grades and had to wait a year!!

Youll definitely have an edge if youll take up BSN, its a degree youll be proud of and its worth your time, alhough a little longer than ASN. What you sow, youll reap.Believe me,
