I want too know since i filled out my fasa my efc numbers is 2956?

Is that good for it to be that high and if its not then how can i change me my fasa to make my efc number low

lol thats good compared to mine, 8500…i get NOTHING and my parents refuse to help so i hope you get more than me

My EFC was 0. Thats because I am over 25, I have one child so therefore I am considered independent. I don’t think there is a way to change it and get away with it. Your SAR may trigger what is called a “verification”. This is when your schools financial aid office will want to see you and your parents W2’s and stuff for proof. Beware altering it.

efc stands for estimated family contribution-that’s how much the government is estimating that you will be able to afford based on yoru income. You cannot lie/adjust this as it is based off of you taxes for the prior year. Schools randomly pull people for verification every year. I got it this year cause I’m starting my 5th year.
