A one year accountant … I think I’d take my business elsewhere.

You need to visit the website of the Colorado State Board of Accountancy. Most states require a master’s degree. Some will let you be an accountant with a bachelor’s degree. A few … very few … will allow one to sit for the CPA exam with an associate’s. So, find out what amount of education your state requires. Subtract the amount of education you’ve already completed. That should tell you approximately what your time to completion would be.
