Most MAT programs do not require the test. Look at the program requirements, not the graduate school’s requirements, on the university websites to find out if you need to take it. I would suggest programs, but I don’t know your location.

It varies by school so you will need to look at the Graduate Admissions Requirements on the school’s website. I’d say most want the GRE, especially if they are competitive schools, but there are some that don’t require either test.
