I need to make a 10 minute lesson plan?

Hello.. for my education class I need to come up with a lesson plan that lasts between 8-12 minutes. It can be on any subject, any grade level.

I had ideas about doing store brand water vs. name brand and have some volunteers come up and taste to see if they can tell the difference ( that would be highschool economics class) or doing a lesson on the pledge of allegience(sp?) for a class of about kindergarten..

does anyone have any ideas? the time limit is the tough part..

Do not do a lesson on the pledge of allegiance for kindergartners in 10 minutes if you want to have a successful lesson. Holy cow! This takes months to do! First graders still have a hard time with this one.

Keep it Simple. Have one objective. Have some way of proving that you were successful.

The time really isn’t that difficult. 8 to 12 minutes seems like a short amount of time, but in practice it is a pretty good amount of time for a basic lesson.

I think the difficultly comes in not being tied to any age or subject.

For the water idea, what would your lesson objective be? (The student will…?) What standards does that address?

would you be allowed to do a pe lesson? you could come up with a quick game for small kids. I had to do that as part of my pe grade.

you could do for Kindergarten, writing any letter, practice writing on paper, finding the letter – like a word search, make the letter with your body, make the letter out of playdough.
