I need a short passage for an upper-intermediate level,any help?
Actually I’m a T.T.C (Teacher Training Course) student, and I’m supposed to have a demonstration. I think a hot topic in an upper intermediate level for adults would be interesting. All I need is a short passage (maximum 4-5 paragraphs) which can be demoed in a 40-minute period. Is anyone out there to help me, and gives me any link or similar stuffs as my mentioned passage?

“The Princess and the Tin Box” a one page by james thurber is a very short story with an unexpected ending and ironic moral.
“Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut is another ironic short story that’s maybe 2-3 pages
“Where have you gone, charming billy” by tim o’brian is about the Vietnam War 3-4 pages

I really don’t completely understand what you are asking. Upper Intermediate adults? Are you teaching ESL? Reading?
What is “demoed”? Demonstrated?
What do you define as a hot topic?
Please try to be more specific…..Your message is confusing. Teachers need to be crystal clear about their expectations.
