Go to www.cps.k12.il.us. That is the Chicago Public School website. On the left, scroll down to human resources. The entire application process is accessible online. Additionally, there are job opportunities posted weekly in the EBulletin (also accessible on that website). ESL teachers are in great demand in Chicago. I have been teaching in Chicago for 15 years. It is a good district. The union is very powerful and pretty good at protecting the teachers’ rights. As a side note, not all schools advertise their vacant positions on the EBulletin. If I were you, I would research schools in a neighborhood you’d like to work in, and then just mail your resume there. Many schools won’t know how many vacancies they have until September when they find out what their enrollment is and how many teachers are coming back to their school. It’s kind of a crazy process, but don’t get frustrated. Good luck!

Go to Valley View school district 365 U – Bolingbrook and Romeoville. We have a kindergarten opening. Check it out and good luck. Melanie
