I just went to Japan in November. I can tell you what I noticed:

1. It has to be the CLEANEST country ever! People actually cleaned the trains after passengers got off.

2. Every time you eat, no matter the type of restaurant, they give you a wet napkin to clean your hand and mouth before you eat. I went to McDonalds, Subway, Italian restaurants, Japanese restaurants, etc. It was all the same.

3. They have the most interesting toilets. The Western toilets are like the ones in America, but only they might also include a seat warmer, a butt washer, background noise (it makes a flushing sound) and scents for the air. Japanese style toilets are like a ceramic hole in the ground. You have to squat to use those.

4. Tokyo is made up of different and distinct neighborhoods and it is not just one big city.

5. The Mount Fuji region, Hakone, has black eggs. They taste like regualr eggs but are black because of the sulfur. But, after a few days it starts to turn back to white.

6. Japanese people smoke a lot more it seems than Americans.

7. Business people are most likely required to work overtime at their jobs. My friends live there and this is what they tell me. You just are expected to stay late.

Look up there for more information. Good luck on your report.

Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of China, Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. The characters that make up Japan’s name mean “sun-origin”, which is why Japan is sometimes identified as the “Land of the Rising Sun”

You could talk about Japan still has an emperor, about speaking writing japanese how it is different from english (they dont have an ABC alphabet), about buddhism. There is so much to talk about you just need to look around on the internet for it. I live in Japan, and its such a fascinating place

They attacked America.

We (America) dropped two atomic bombs on them.

They (Japan) didn’t like pretty mushroom clouds and surrendered.
