I’m not quite sure if you mean Ghandi or not, but if you do, bear in mind that I barely know what I’m talking about. I just have one thought, and it’s that whatever Ghandi did for the people, he kind of neglected to do something that would affect peasants. He did not call for an end to the caste system, which is something which discriminates against the lower castes. So, it’s possible that many peasants were of lower caste. Ghandi himself was a Brahman (I think) which is the highest, or one of the highest castes. So, that’s all I can say, is that if I were a peasant, I might not have been too thrilled with him if he did not call for the end of discrimination against me and my family
