I don’t understand this problem? Please help?
Well, I’m studying for my algebra I final and there’s this question that I don’t understand. I know what to do when it comes to factoring an equation, (a, b, & c)…I just don’t know what C would be: 9f^4-25.
The answer is: (3f^2-5)(3f^2+5)…
anyone get this?

Use FOIL so you can see why it works…
First: 3f^2 * 3f^2
Outside: 3f^2 * 5
Inside: 3f^2 * -5
Last: -5 * 5
(Inside and outside cancel each other out.)
EDITED TO CLARIFY — You need to use foil to see why the answer is what it is. Again — inside and outside cancel each other out. That is why 9f^4-25 = (3f^2-5)(3f^2+5)
I do not understand what you’re saying about a, b and c…
