How would I enroll my God Daughter in High School on my side of town? her guardian wants her to go in my city?
She’s living with us but brother is guardian…its complicated but he has custody and he’s 25 and she is 16…and she lives with us and we need to enroll her soon.

I would think it all depends on your State and County guidelines. In Michigan, a Power of Attorney form every six months for the sole purpose of providing a more suitable home is sufficient. If you mention only for education, that can be cause for denial. I am currently utilizing this form and it is backed by the Supreme Court and Michigan Civil Law. Check with your local probate court for the answers…mine was very helpful.

If she lives with you, I beleive the school sees you as guardian despite everything else. So if I’m not mistaken, she can enroll in the school by your house. Check with the office staff at your school to make sure.
