I was wondering if this was temporary for a unit or if you wanted to make your classroom look like this all year long. If it’s temporary for a special unit, then you could have students make backdrops with roll paper to create the three levels of the rain forest. Each student could make a rain forest animal for the back drop and place them where they belong. You could make fake trees to place in corners of your room, and attach some kind of ropes hanging down from your ceilings. I’m sure you could find rainforest animal bulletin board cut outs that you could place around the room as well.

Have your classification make long skinny eco-friendly streamers that look like leaves and create branches to have placing from the ceiling and related to the partitions. even have then create raindrops and what no longer. Throw in some animals. would use some scented oils or air fresheners that remind you of being out doorways and turn on a cd with rain wooded area sounds.

You take a long long stretch of brown craft/bulletin board paper and scrunch and twist it to a trunck and place in the corner. Take thinner strips and scrunch/twist into brachnes and attaching die-cut leaves. Staple to the ceiling radiating out from the trunck.

You make “vines” out of green yarn and tie leaves (use a die-cut) to it and string along the ceiling and entwine into your trunck.

Have students bring in stuffed animals of rain fores animals and put pictures “hidden” behind your vines, etc.

good luck

Have lots and lots of green on the walls. Make trees out of different layers of paper and build them up like leaves. Make creepy crawlies out of paper and hang them from the ceiling. Get the kids to make some animals for the wall. If you get the kids involved and they know they have helped make it, they will think its wonderful no matter how it looks. Have fun.

You could paint the walls green. Then cut out plants that have a rainforest look. And things like that. You could also have rainforest food and make it fun. Good luck!
