how much does a vet tech make?
I am currently in school for something else, but I have always LOVED animals and am interested in this area of study. The money really doesnt matter much, but I am just curious. I keep hearing different things.

It will vary depending on where you live. The numbers that the previous poster gave seem about right, but keep in mind that they are the average salary for all vet techs, not average STARTING salary. Your salary will be significantly lower. Here in Wisconsin, the average salary for a vet tech just starting out is usually somewhere between $9-$10 an hour, equating to about $20,000 per year.
