How is college different from high school?
Hey I was wondering how you ever got through the high school cliques and all the torture. I have a few good friends. I live in a super small community and there are about 160 people in my high school. Will I always be this little loser that is smart and wants a good future. Tell me a little bit about your high school experience and about how college is supposedly different!

I was a super nerd with few friends in a very big high school and then made the mistake of going to a huge university where there were 600 people in a lecture hall and I didn’t know any of them and felt very alone. I dropped out after 2 years and several years later, I went to a smaller university where I actually got to know the people in my classes.
Going back as an adult was so different because I was there just for school and not for the social scene, but ironically, I made a lot more friends that time around because I was having much more fun. I had been in a daily work grind before and college felt like freedom in comparison.
I still have NO desire to see the people from my high school. I’m still in touch with the ones I care about.
College can be different from high school if you pick a college and a major where you can get to know people with similar interests.
