Go into your control panel from your start button on your computer. Click on control panel. Then click on Add/Remove Software. That will give you a list of all the programs on your computer. Go to Internet Explorer and click Remove. That will properly remove it from your hard drive.

Don’t even try it. I know of people who removed it, only to find that Windows didn’t work anymore, because Internet Explorer shares files with Windows. If you uninstall it, you will have to reload Windows.
If you don’t want to use Internet Explorer, use a different browser. I like Firefox. You can get it from http://www.getfirefox.com. Firefox is very good at blocking pop-up ads.
