How does schools in like america and stuff work?
Cause In australia we start school at the start of the year (usually beginning of feb) and end school at the end (early december) and starting school in the middle of the year just seems weird.
but i suppose it’s because ur summer is in teh middle of the year so it makes more sense to have a big break then.
tell me how it works lol 🙂

Kindegarten-12th year begins the first week in September or late August, usually the day after our summer ending holiday called Labor Day. We then go straight through to November where we get almost a week off for Thanksgiving. The we go all the way to 3 days to Christmas and come back a few days after New Years. From there until Spring Break which last one to weeks and it varies when that is and then school lets out either mid May or first week of June. For my high school the graduating class got out the 2nd week of May while the rest stayed in school till the end of the first week of June

It depends on how the school is structured. Most elementary schools, middle schools and high schools I know start in early September, have their winter break around Christmas, return in early January and continue through early to mid-June. But there are exceptions.
Sucks for you guys though. No long breaks huh?
