How does critical thinking affect you as a reader and writer?How can thinking critically improve your writing?

I find that most people do not read critically, they are passive and don’t really think through and around the issue before accepting it or just passing it by. I can find so much more in writing by taking my time and thinking critically, whether it is literature or the newspaper. And the better reader you are, the better writer you are, since you begin to self-critique in the same way. Nice question, by the way.
