how do you do a presentation?

In case of the normal oral presentation, you have to keep these points in mind:
1. never feel nervous just before giving your presentstion. Because this is what spoils 99% of the presentation.
If you keep your cool, i’m sure your presentation is already half a success.
2. Browse extensively on the topic, try to collect as much information related to the topic as possible.
3. Now try to sort out the collected information into different sub-points.
For eg, say you have indeed chosen the topic of cyber socializing,
you have to first give a brief introduction as to what it is, INTRODUCE YOUR TOPIC BRIEFLY.
next, explain the ill-effects one-by-one with one small example, if possible. DON’T MAKE THE EXPLANATION TOO LONG.
Try to support your argument with true facts if possible because that will prove to be really useful. By true facts, it could be stats, or reports or any such thing.
Once you have finisht explaining the ill-effects, try to conclude strongly that cyber socializing definitely has been a bane in one way.
IF YOU CAN DO ALL THESE PERFECTLY, U’R PRESENTATION IS DEFINITELY A SUCCESS.

ALL THE BEST
A presentation should provide a concise message and if it is reinforced with images it is better. Dont use too many effects like fade ins etc – they become a drag if used too much and do not make a good impression.
Keep notes for each of the slides, and rehearse the presentation in front of a mirror. Edit it to make it fit the time alloted to you.
When delivering the presentation, make eye contact with the audience one by one, note any feedback or questions. Speak clearly and in the manner as you are talking to the people present.
Good luck
PS: cyber socializing will take up a lot of time because you get together any time and any place. Real life socializing is different because you have to plan and meet someplace.
As for the second part, as I sit here communicating with a stranger I will never speak to or meet, cyber socialising is no substitute for reality. This is a new medium and lacks any form of social cohesion or true interaction – honesty can be bypassed without anyone ever knowing. It is a great bulldozer of class and race, but we need in a fundamental way that I can’t even descibe, real one to one human communication – our lives are more than the shoppers network and yahoo answers. I can’t define how, but I know this as much as I know I need to breathe.
The effects of this are too new to be quantified so God help us if the power goes out.
