For those that have taken the compass exam & aren’t that good in math. How was it? What was your placement?

I took the compass in January, and Math was the only part I had trouble with. I consider myself pretty smart in math (Pre-Cal./Trig.). The test is divided into 3 parts, Basic Algebra, College Algebra, and Trig. With each one you pass, you get to go on the next test. I only made it to the 2nd part. I thought hte test was unfair on my part. I was only allowed the crap calculator on the computer and those basic ones with the huge buttons and a pile of scratch paper. Where my friends took it at another campus and were allowed to use their graphing calculators. I think that depends on where you go.
If you aren’t satisfied with your scores, like I am, I think you can bring your high school math scores/grades to the admissions office and they can eliminate the pre req. and let you take the math class you want.
Hope this helps, sorry for writing so much. Good luck.
