Ethnic classification?

Hello, I am about to fill out my college applications and I was wondering what one needs to be in order to be qualified as a minority. I am colombian and chinese. I was born in colombia and so is my mom and everyone on my mom’s side of the family. My dad is chinese. The problem is that I look more asian than I do hispanic. I heard that college admissions favor blacks/hispanics/native americans are favored over whites and asians. Should I list as hispanic despite appearing dominantly asian, or is that cheating? Thanks

you can not deny both ethnic ties, just put other. For years i put black on my applications but I realized I denied my mother. My mother is Cherokee now I put other

No,that is not cheating. If you are Hispanic and it gives you an advantage, then use it.Later on down the line,it may help you.

Placing yourself as Chinese is analogous to putting WASP.It will never aid you anywhere.

Who knows what lays ahead in life?Use the advantage.

PS:Life is a fight and sometimes it ain’t fair.Fight with all that you have.At some point in the future, things may not be going your way.

PSS:However you appear is not material unless you need to prove what you say.If they do not believe you, make believers out of them.

Well I don’t think its cheating but you’re mixed. Its just half and half, but its you think that declaring yourself just one will get you ahead in life than go ago.
