Eligibility for higher education in USA?
Hi, I’ve done Bachelor in Micro Biology (B.Sc.) in India under 10+2+3 education system. Now I’ll be moving to US in March-08 after marriage, I’m planning to pursue my studies in USA. If I’m not wrong to apply for any graduate course in US we need 10+2+4 education. What would be gud for me to qualify for the same? I’ve one year to finish something if it makes me eligible for 10+2+4. Presently I’m preparing for GRE as well.

Most graduate programs in the USA require that you have the equivalent of a US Bachelor’s degree (4 years) with a 3.0 GPA (approx. 80%). You should contact the admissions office at the university of your choice and inquire about admissions requirements for students from India. Some universities have specific programs for applicants from India including some additional courses or tests. Getting excellent scores on your GRE may help you get admission into a top program and may also help you get assistantships or fellowships. Also, concentrate on getting top scores on your TOEFL exam. Some graduate programs do not require GREs, but all programs will require minimum TOEFL scores.

You must do a one year PG diploma in a accredited university program (approved by ugc/aicte) on any subject in India. I may suggest a PG diploma in medical instrumentation, management etc.,offered by a university dept or by an university affiliated college. This will make you eligible for a US Graduate program. You must be aware of other GRE and TOEFL score requirements from your homework. You must be able to get your admission letter and I-20 from a US university for admission to a graduate program(MS) so that you will be given F-1 student visa before you leave India. It appears that your fiancee is in US on his H1 visa. Then if you are not able to get your independent F-1 you are only entitled to a dependent H4 after marriage.Later change to F-1 may not be easy. H-4 status may permit your study with no schol & fin assitance. Get to know the things straight from him in US.
Another wayout is that you may have to do a 2yr community college in US(similar to Indian polytechnic) and a 2yrUG prog in university. Getting course credit and reduced year of study may be a difficult issue.May feel free to email any querry.

How approximately we merely wish that the government is able to counting the votes perfect? Many states have long gone to computerized vote casting machines that are prevalent to be susceptible to tampering. And no paper path? i would be chuffed if the votes are merely counted properly.
