Does San Jose State University has a good chemistry program??
I am planning to major in Chemistry or Biology( or pre-med in general) at San Jose State University. Do SJSU (a CSU school) has a good chemistry program or biology program? I am planning to become a pharmacist. Will I have a higher acceptance rate to graduate school if I go to UC Davis instead? Has anyone here goes to SJSU and also doing pre-med and planning to transfer after 4 yrs? or anyone in the same situation? Can you give me some advices. Choosing SJSU(CSU) for a undergraduate pre-med is a good choice?? I heard that UC has more advantage due to it high budget in research program??I’m deciding between UC Davis and San Jose State.Thanks

For science Davis is a better choice because it is a research based campus, as of all UCs.
SJSU and all CSUs are what they call “hands on learning” meaning you learn through doing.
UCs are competitive, it really depends on yourself. If you want to be competitive, and is able to handle it all while still be in the top of your class Davis is great. but if not SJSU or CSUs are good because you will have a greater chance of doing good.
Doing good academically will get you a boost into med school, they look at GPA not undergrad school.. hope that helps. =)

Med faculties would be finding at your academic overall performance, and then scale it slightly in accordance to status. yet another super factor is your MCAT. do no longer problem with regard to the score, that isn’t a great deal impact the admission officer’s decision. besides the undeniable fact that, i could prefer to point out that at UC Berkeley, approximately 13% of freshman that are available in asserting they prefer to be pre-med certainly finally end up using to a med college. So do no longer placed all your eggs into one little basket, look what else the college can provide in terms of extra-curriculars and campus lifestyles, the two on and rancid campus. finally, if financial burden is a huge subject, that could desire to take precedence. solid luck pursuing your tiers!
