If you look long enough there is actually a college project posted on the internet where they set up a simulated tongue and then counted the licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop and then calculated differences for different length tongues and different levels of saliva. It is pretty funny to read but I can’t remember the website. I think the answer is around 325 licks for an average tongue.
