It depends on the culinary school. Some require a diploma others do not. Some community colleges offer culinary programs that are world renowned and diplomas are not required for CC’s. Some schools even offer financial aid for such programs.
Identify the culinary schools in your area that you are most interested in and contact their admissions offices for a complete list of requirements. I’m sure they will be glad you called.

Most likely, but the Vocational Tech place in my county has a spectacular culinary training program. Check with your high school’s affiliate vo-tech school.

Get a GED–very easy to do and the worries about “no diploma” are over.
