also, can you tell me how quantitative content analysis differs from qualitative content analysis? i’ve come across so many different definitions for “content analysis”, but i haven’t really defined quantitative content analysis. thanks.

Quantitative analysis is an examination based purely on numerical or factual results. It states things very explicitly, like “your % yeild was 32%” or “the population to begin with was 112,000 and then at the end was 333,200” or something. It’s purely factual, there are no speculations or theories or anything else involved.
