bad ap score :(…help me?

I failed my AP history test. Should I let this discourage me from taking at least 5-6 more AP’s in high school? I don’t plan in majoring in history, but i’m still bummed that i won’t get any college credit. In the long run, was it worth it that I took the class and got a B? If I got a full-ride scholarship, would that bettter my situation because I would be covered, but yet still have take the course in college?

I don’t know how the full ride to college part plays into the situation–only a very few people among the public can get full rides.

Yeah, it was still worth it that you took the class and got a B in it. It will look like you actually tried to challenge yourself in high school by taking an AP class. Don’t let this stop you from taking more AP classes. Since you’ve had the experience of taking the test, you’ll realize how much effort you need to put into studying for AP tests to do better next time. I would not suggest that you take a ton of AP classes in one year, though–you might string yourself out so badly that you’ll do poorly on all the AP exams. I noticed that my AP scores were a bit lower this year (since I had 5 subjects) than my scores were last year (when I only had three–I had managed 5s on all of them).

If you have a full ride scholarship, you’re set.

Not all schools offer credit for all of your AP classes. I took 9 APs in high school and passed all of them, but now I need to take additional classes (that I wouldn’t have had to take otherwise) because I won’t have enough units to graduate because of my AP classes.

AP isn’t the most important thing in the world. don’t sweat the small stuff.

No they don’t see them, but if you did well and want to send them College Board charges you $15 to send the scores later. You usually need at least a 3 to not take the class, sometimes a 4. AP Biology is a harder class than the credit it applies to at the college level.

uh, no.. dont let it discourage you. take an AP in something the interests you, so that you will study more. and also, take this experience adn use it to study harder and pass your next APs. goodluck. you may get college credit, but that doesnt really matter. just study hard.

you can take the AP history test again next year, but you wont remember anything, just let it go. and full ride scholarship pays for college. you would still have to take the course.. unless you can pay your way out of a class.. idk

APs are extra….its not bad if u didn’t pass. as long as u got a good grade…i didn’t pass either(got a 2). you should try to take the 5-6 classes.i passed the eng. and spanish test. which are my subjects. im not a history person so it doesn’t matter
