Any advice or suggestions?
I am a high school student and I am really interested in journalsism, specificly sports, but anything for now. I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to get a head start, and to get experience. If you have any advice, that would be great!

Take some rigorous English classes to improve your reading and writing skills. Classes like AP English are beneficial. Also maybe joining the Yearbook team can have a good impression on the colleges you want to go to.

I guess they don’t have a journalism class in your school. Try the colleges and check the town newspaper to ask about this. There may be someone there to help you. Do you have a local tv station if so check there. These places may have some kind of intern program.Good luck!

Get some money take a few pictures anytime you can write and contribute with short articles to your local newspaper columns if it gets printed you will know that you are going somewhere.
