Any Adivce 4 a freshman going into a public skool?
My cousin is going 2 a public skool 4 the 1st time & i’m worried 4 her…[shes only gone 2 a private skool b4]!! so, if u have any ideas of how she ocould survive that would b great!! thnkx!

School is about the education, that is what you should be concerned with.

I don’t think public school is something to ‘survive’. Unless you live in an area where private schools are in grave difference to public, then the only real issue she’ll have is making friends. The best advice for that is to just be open and friendly.

I have went to public school all of my life and I am a senior this year. There was a movie based on my school called Dazed and and Confused and like any other movie it makes high school out to be a lot more different than it really is. High school is FUN! Tell her not to let the whole fish thing get to her. Just remember to hang out with the right people and join clubs. Not only does it introduce you to people who have the samd interests as you do but it also looks good on college transcripts.

I’m not yet in high school, but I have been attending a public school for the last few years. Here is what I have learned:
-NEVER eat the lunch served in the cafeteria
-Try to make as many GOOD friends as possible
-Stand up for yourself
-Get involved in EVERYTHING you possibly can
-Find out who you are
-Don’t tell anyone you don’t know very well your secrets
That’s all I have…the rest should be easy, because if she has gone to a private school, it’s likely they were VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY tough on her. Public school will be cake for her. As long as she doesn’t worry!

Be cool, be open, don’t act any different than you normally would. It’s school, and if she’s a freshman, most people will know a lot of people, but they won’t know everyone, so she’ll fit in quickly.

She’ll survive if she just keeps her head straight and doesn’t get into the wrong crowd.. other than that she’ll be fine! :]

one advice is to make sure she doesnt hang out with the wrong crowd…thats prolly the best advice you can give her…
