answers to following questions?

I see u know nothing in fractions. And the second question makes no sense whatsoever unless it’s just 2x + 6 which u get by opening the brackets. Remember LCM is all u need to crack most of these!!!

1) LCM of 3 and 6 is 6. And that of 6 and 8 is 24.

So the question becomes

(2*8) /(3*8) + (5*3)/(8*3) + (5*4)/(6*4)

which equals (16 + 15 + 20) / 24

i.e. 51/24

3) 9 – 2 1/3 = 9 – 7/ 3 converting to mixed fraction

= 27 – 7/3

= 20/3.

4) 10 1/4 – 3 2/3

= 41/4 – 11/3

= 41 * 3 / 12 – 11*4 / 12

= 80 / 12 = 20/3

Just keep doing LCM and u can solve it. except the next 1 which is 20/80 = 1/4.

The answers are 56/9 and 3/8 to last 2.

Hope this solves the problem. Just remember LCM and check 2nd question.

2/3 + 5/8 + 5/6 = 51/24 = 17/8 (common denominator is 24)

2/3 (3x +9) = 2x + 6 (simplify the 3’s)

9 – 2 1/3 = 6 2/3

1/2 * 5/8 * 4/5 = 20/80 = 1/4
