Am I not able to go to high school again?
So last year i was caught with some marijuana and got expelled and since then i really straightened up my act and stopped smoking and stopped hangin out with kids who did. Well that was like 2 weeks before school let up for summer. Now i’ve tried to get into 2 catholic schools in the area and they both said no because I was expelled for drugs. Now there are a few more private schools i didn’t try to get into but i was wondering is there no way any school is going to let me in now. I really want to go back to school and graduate and i feel that 1 big mistake screwed up my life even though I straightened my life up. So do I have any chance of going back to high school?

I think that there is still hope, but probably chances are that you will have to redo the last years courses since they expelled you. What you should do is go to the School District and explain your problem to them. Tell them that you would like to re-enter and see what they say. Ask them what are the possiblities of going to a different high school or an alternative school for a while. Tell them that you have changed and would like a second chance. If that does not work then join CCOC or go to a public college to get your GED. Hope this helps:)

You didn’t say what age you are but I’m assuming you are under 18 and if this is the case , yes you can go back to high school , you are guaranteed an education at least up to that point. I’m not sure what the procedures are when it comes to being expelled because of drugs that is something your parents are going to have to take up with the district. Have your parents talk to the superintendent or the chancellor whom ever is in charge of the public schools where you live.

I think If I were you, I would go before their committee and tell them your situation in person. Or maybe you could go to public school just for the rest of high school it does not last that lone, before you know it you will be off to college

Yes you are still capable into getting in another school…. Then again if not you can always maintain to get your highschool somewherelse… Into a program for students who need help
