All the nurses out there….?
I’m thinking of studying to become a school nurse. Can anyone let me know how much schooling that would involve. I’m a young mother and I can’t really afford to go to school longer then 4 years. I know that after two years you can get some form of nursing degree (RN is it??) but what kind of jobs could that get me?
Thanks!

Hi I am not a nurse but I think I can help . At the Texas work force they have programs where they can help you pay school If you meet the requirements (income wise) and they can also help you find a job. Rn’s usually are like the boss of the LVN’s and CNA they work at clinics at schools and at home health agency’s and some times on some government offices helping people with mental disabilities. You might want to contact you work force center and ask if they have any programs like in Texas oh and its not just for a two year program but also for a four year program they also have what is called the OJT On The Job Training .Like for example if there is a position for medical assistant (doctors receptionist) they can help you get the job and get the special training for the job. I hope this information helps good luck.

You should go for four years and get your BSN. You’ll get much better jobs out of that.
