(1) perimiter of a rectangle = 2L + 2W, wherein L = length of a side, and W = width (or in this case, breadth).
perimieter = 175 cm
now it is also said that the length L is 21cm more than the breadth W. we can represent that statement as:
(2) L = W + 21
now we can plug in the values to equation (1):
175 = 2L + 2W
175 = 2(W + 21) + 2W
then we can finally simplify, to get W:
175 = 2W + 42 + 2W
175 = 4W + 42
133 = 4W
W = 33.25 cm
to find L, use the equation (2): L = 21 + 33.25 = 54.25 cm

rectangle’s perimeter or P=(a+b)2
if “a” is length and “b”is breadth then “a”=21+b
So: P=(21+b+b)2
P=(2b+21)2
P=175
175=4b+42
4b=133
b=133/4
a=133/4 +21
