In general, do private school teachers get paid more than public school teachers?

plus, what are the requirements for teaching at a private school versus a public school?

Private school teachers may very well get paid less, but they also can have great perks, like free housing if they live at a boarding school.

Private school teachers don’t have to be certified like public school teachers.

Also, at a private school (especially boarding school), the teachers often wear many hats: coach, student advisor, dorm parent, etc.

Private school teachers do not necessarily get paid more, some even get paid less.

In California private teachers do not have to have any sort of requirements. Public school teachers have to be credentialed.

It really depends on the size of the schools that are being compared, but a private school of equal or near to equal size to a public school usually pays their workers more because they receive a higher income.

No, I think private schools generally pay less, because many of them do not require teaching certificates.
