ok for the first one

you can do inequality problems just like reg. equations the only thing you have to remember is to flip the inequality sign IF and only IF you DIVIDE by a negative number.

as for the second one

theres only one mistake ….it should be 6=-2(-4)+b

but then you have to solve for B

and insert that number into the equation

so it should look like this: y= -2x-2

the first substitution answer is correct

for the second one i would recomend using substitution again

first take -4+y= -12 and solve for y

y = -8

now take that number and plug it into the second equation to get x

the answer to the last problem should be

11x^2 -10y^2

I’ll try. I did this stuff 2 years ago… so bear with me.

Inequalities. Solve like equalities. Remember though, if you divide by a negative number, the sign flips.

3a – 15 > 6

3a > 21

a > 7

Slope-intercept form is y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the intercept. Your answer is not complete.

Plug in the x and y coordinates given and the slope and solve for b.

6 = (-2)(-4) + b

6 = 8 + b

-2 = b

Now, use the x and y variables and put the slope for m and put -2 for b.

y = -2x – 2

That is your final answer.

Substitution means to plug in one thing for another and solve.

2x – 3y = -19

2(4) – 3y = -19

8 – 3y = -19

-3y = -27

y = 9

Elimination is a bit trickier. It means to kind of subtract the entire equations to get it down to one variable.

-4x + y = -12

-4x + 2y = 6

Multiply the second equation by -1 so that you can cancel the x’s.

-4x + y = -12

4x – 2y = -6

—————–

-y = -18

y = 18

Plug that into one of the equations.

-4x + 18 = -12

-4x = -30

x = 30/4 or 15/2

Is that the full polynomial. It’s not a monomial because mono means one.

18x^2 – 4y^2 – 7x^2 – 6y^2

Combine like terms.

11x^2 – 10y^2

That’s it. I don’t know how you got 25 unless part of the question got cut off. You have to put spaces or yahoo will shorten it.

the first one is definitely right because you just add 15 to both sides which leaves you with 3a on the left and 21 on the right. then to get the a by itself you just divide by 3 on both sides to end up with a is greater than 7. Nice Work!

EVERY term has an x in it, so factor out the x and then see if you can factor the left-overs x*[ 4x^2 + x + 4 ] … and at first blush, does not seem factorable

There`s an awful of of work there ! I suggest that you take it step by step, one topic at a time and one question at a time. There are lots of people on here who are happy to help you, but find such a lot of work at once a bit daunting. Stop fretting, you`ll get it eventually !
