Please I am strarting World History Honors on August For High School I need to learn the basics?

There is so much to learn. Having a good general idea of world geography and an outline of world history might help you place the new things you learn in a useful context. Look at maps of the world so you know what they mean when they talk about Greece, Rome, China or Japan. Read some online essays about early history – the nations mentioned above, maybe a little about the Middle Ages, The Renaissance, the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution. Don’t completely neglect the rest of the world. Africa has a fascinating history which is little acknowledged intextbooks. Study a bit about England, as it is the source of so much American tradition. Read about the Magna Carta.

And try to relax. If they expected you to know it already, they wouldn’t ask you to take a class. When you run into unfamiliar terms, raise your hand and ask, or look them up online, or come back here. Always help available at Yahoo.
