Looking at going to college?
I work for a engineering firm and I have moved up in the company since Ive joined. I quit school in the 10th grade but i did get my GED, now I’m interested in going to college to get a civil engineering degree, and I have been reading around to see class schedule and credits, I’m also aware i will have to take a placement test. I’m a little worried that my math is going to hold me back, is there any thing online that i can print out that could prepare me and so i can pratice up before i take the placement test. Thanks

Talk to a counsellor at the school. They probably have a sample test.

Yes, there are several math sites that can assist you in your preparation. You might need a list of the type of math on the test but I think a little geometry, fractions, algebra 1 and 2 and maybe some trig should be fine for you.

Once you find some samples- this site solves them and then explains step by step how they got there…
http://admin.santafe.cc.fl.us/~acres/assess/cpt.htm has some placement test information that might be helpful. Good luck!
