I have heard that a lot from when I was in middle school. Personally, I think that the seventh grade was one of the best years of my life. Unlike sixth grade and eight grade, where you are getting used to middle school and then getting prepared for high school, seventh grade is when you really get to enjoy middle school for what it is. I had an amazing year because I had wonderful teachers and friends. Whatever other people think, just make it a year to remember. Don’t ever think that your grade is invisible. I loved seventh grade SO much, I still go back to visit my teachers from then. I thought that sixth grade was too boring, and eight grade too easy. Seventh grade is just right.

No, people do acknowledge the seventh graders but they are just not the youngest like the sixth graders or the role models and oldest like the eighth graders. It is basically like the middle child; they aren’t teh babies of the house and they are not the oldest child. They are definatly not invislible. For example, when I was a seventh grader (last year) eighth graders still talked to me. The only problem is that in my school, teh sixth graders get to go on three fieldtrips during the year and the eighth graders go to Washington DC, Six Flags, and on other fieldtrips. All the seventh graders do is stay in class and do projects. But, if you get good grades, you do to Discovery Kingdom. I hope you feel better and I hope I didn’t scare you.

Absolutely. I have taught middle school and feel the public sees this as the first true grade where the students aren’t independent or at the primary school age.
