What do the different levels of…?
degrees mean? I know you have to do extra years of college to get them. They go Associate, Bachelor, Masters, etc. right? Getting a Bachelor degree will help you how?

Each diffrent levels of degrees are made to put a kind of difference between different people with different kind of knowledge in different fields of study, maybe you have in your mind some kind of alternatives for them, that they seem unreasonable to you, but they are localy & globaly accepted.
I don’t know what more exactly you want to know about them, actually your question seems somehow ambigues.
