can living in hostel improve dicipline among students?

No, I think that being disciplined is taught at home first…if a student knows how to respect authority at home, he/she will respect it in hostels, too…I suppose…

I think it can only to an extent!!
But the only thing that improves discipline is their homes. If they are not used to being told what to do and dont respect authority it dont matter where they are they will do what they want to.
Up bringing makes a huge difference!!
