What is the most studied form of theology?
I have been quite interested in Christian theology due to the fact that I grew up with Christianity, but have become more interested in its theology rather than its spiritualism. But inform me which of the many beliefs out there is the most studied and your opinions on why.
Thanks.

Probably Catholism due to it’s age as relative to protestant sects/divisions. That combined with how many governmental forms it’s had, being it’s own country at the vatican and how that relates to scriptural doctrine as it’s base, etc.. Compared to that, most of the other Christian faiths are considered young upstarts.

One way to look at it is sheer numbers: every Mormon high school student goes to “seminary” before school. Worldwide, that must add up to lots of Mormon theology. Independently of organized religion, I’ve seen many people of all ages and religions study Buddhism, such as that taught by the Dalai Lama; and Zen Buddhism. Those may be most studied, outside of churches.

Catholicism is probably the most studied form.
