Basically IR is the study of foreign affairs and global issues among states within the international system. If you are political science major and interest in foreign affair, this is the course you need to take.
Course description:
This course is meant to acquaint students with the core concepts, processes, and issues of international relations. The first segment of the course details the actors in international relations, how foreign policy is made, and the role of power. The second section of the course examines contemporary and future problems in the international system, including military conflict, economics, demography, and the environment. Upon completion of this course,
students should have a strong basic understanding of international relations and a foundation for taking upper-division courses on the subject.
